October 15, 2013...
8:12 a.m. ...
Bohol was wreaked by a
harrowing 7.2 magnitude earthquake...
Buildings, houses,
schools and national treasures, our centuries old churches were devastated...
November 8, 2013...
Super Typhoon
Yolanda/Haiyan hit Eastern Visayas, severely damaging the City of Tacloban in
the Province of Leyte...
Millions were left
homeless and thousands of lives were lost...
Yet, in spite of all
of these great tribulations that our beloved countrymen and women are
suffering...
In spite of the
hopelessness that they are enduring...
THEY STILL HAVE THEIR
"PEARL OF GREAT PRICE"...
THEIR FAITH IN GOD WHO
IS OUR ALL-IN-ALL!
One of the survivors
of the Typhoon even CHALLENGES US:
"If there is no
God, who else is there? HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE."
- Bibeth Sabulao,
Yolanda survivor, after she received JESUS in the Most Blessed Sacrament during
the Holy Mass offered in Guiuan.
CNN Repoter, Mr. Andrew
Cooper has this to say about our RESILIENT AND BLESSED PEOPLE!:
“In
every report we’ve done, we’ve shown how strong the Filipino people are. The
Filipino people, the people of Tacloban, in Samar, in Cebu, and all these places
where so many have died, they’re strong not just to survive this storm. They’re
strong to have survived the aftermath of the storm. They’ve survived for a week
now, often with very little food, with very little water, with very little
medical attention."
Can you imagine the strength it takes to be living in a shack,
to be living, sleeping on the streets next to the body of your dead children?
Can you imagine that
strength?
I can’t, but I see that
strength day in and day out here in the Philippines, and we honor them in every
broadcast that we do.”
This is PESACH/EASTER
in the midst of this deluge!
This is OUR PEOPLE!
THE CHOSEN LAND!
ANG BAYANG PINILI AT
PININO (PILI+PINO)!
ANG LUPANG HINIRANG!
MABUHAY ANG INANG BAYANG PILIPINAS!
TAPAT NA ANAK NG POONG MAYKAPAL!
