Venerable Archbishop of Manila and Primate of the Philippines:

"On Sundays, he would even recite the creed solemnly and with eyes closed: 'I believe in God the Father Almighty...'

But here comes Monday and we see him cheating for money, stepping on the dignity of his neighbours because of his selfish ambition to achieve 'progress'.

What 'god' thus this particular person has?

Maybe his very own 'god' is money, prestige, power, or maybe he doesn't actually believe in the ONE TRUE GOD!"

Doesn't it ring a bell?

Most of the time we are like this...

We “believe” during the MASS, during our prayer-time, within the four corners of the church-building...

We "believe" as long as it is practical, as long as it is convenient...

But JESUS IS CHALLENGING US IN THE READINGS FOR THIS SUNDAY TO LET THAT LIVING FAITH MANIFESTS ITS LIFE IN US!

Let our family, our community and our society SEE THE BEAUTY OF THE LIVING GOSPEL OF OUR BLESSED SALVATION!
