There is this sacred image where we stay here in Marikina...

It is popularly known as "THE EYE" of the Cursillo Movement...

It is the IMAGE OF OUR BLESSED LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST with his LOVING GAZE SET ON EVERYONE, WHETHER OR NOT HE OR SHE IS LOOKING AT THE SAID ICON.

This image has a mechanism where there are at least two light bulbs at the back of the portrait so that it will illumine the Face and the Sacred Heart, sort of a stained glass effect or something like that.

One day, the light on the face was not anymore working, so all you can see especially when it is dark is HIS HEART...

This makes me wonder: "WE MAY NOT SEE IN OUR PRESENT DAY THE LORD'S FACE, THIS FACE OF THE HISTORICAL JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, THE MOST HIGH GOD WHO HAS ENTERED OUR HISTORY, WHO HAS EMBRACED OUR HUMANITY SAVED FOR OUR WHIMS, CAPRICES AND SINS, BUT AT LEAST WE, HIS MYSTICAL BODY, CAN BE HIS HEART TODAY."

JESUS is inviting us...

NOT ONLY DURING THIS SACRED SEASON OF LENT...

BUT ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES...

CAN YOU AND I BE HIS HEART... TODAY, AND ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES?

CAN WE BE MEN AND WOMEN ACCORDING TO HIS MOST SACRED HEART, JUST LIKE THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, OR SAINT JOSEPH HER MOST CHASTE SPOUSE, OR KING DAVID, OR THE SAINTS OF AGES PAST WHO ARE THE GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES THAT SURROUNDS US (HEBREWS 12:1 AND 22-24)?
